Almond Extract
Instructions
Place the ground almonds, icing sugar and caster sugar in a bowl and mix together.
Add the beaten egg and almond essence and mix well, at first with a spoon and then with your hands until it has combined into a smooth dough.
Turn it out onto a surface dusted with icing sugar and knead until smooth.
Notes
If you are not using the marzipan immediately, wrap it in cling film and store it in the fridge.
